PRESS RELEASE: 55/Redefined strengthens customer data assurance with SOC 2 Type 2 examination

55/Redefined

London, 17 June 2026 – 55/Redefined, the company redefining work for the 100-year life, confirms that the Me/Redefined Platform has successfully completed a SOC 2 Type 2 examination protecting its security data integrity.

The examination, conducted between January 1 and 31 March this year, provides independent validation of the controls and processes in place to help protect customer data across the platform.

A SOC 2 Type 2 examination assesses not only whether controls are appropriately designed, but whether they operated effectively over a sustained period. This provides assurance that security measures are consistently applied in practice, not just in principle.

For organizations working with platforms that handle sensitive workforce, candidate and organizational data, SOC 2 Type 2 offers a recognised standard of assurance. It signals that:

  • Data is protected through tested controls, not just policies
The examination validates that controls governing access, monitoring and system security are operating effectively over time.
  • Risk is actively managed, not assumed
Independent testing of controls reduces the risk of gaps in security processes that could expose data.
  • Procurement and compliance processes are simplified
Many enterprise organisations require SOC 2 Type 2 as part of vendor due diligence. Having this in place reduces friction in onboarding and contracting.
  • Security conversations accelerate
SOC 2 Type 2 provides a shared language between buyers and suppliers, helping security teams move more quickly through technical validation.
  • Trust is built at scale
For companies working with multiple clients, partners and regions, it demonstrates a consistent and repeatable approach to data protection.

These are particularly important in environments where platforms manage personal data, workforce insights and employer information at scale.

Mark Walters, Director of Technology at 55/Redefined, said:

"SOC 2 Type 2 is about proving that the controls we design to protect data are actually working, every day, in a live environment. For our customers, that matters because they are trusting us with workforce data, organizational insights and commercially sensitive information. This examination gives them independent evidence that the systems, processes and safeguards behind the platform are operating as they should over time, not just on paper."

Why SOC 2 Type 2 matters in practice

Across the market, organizations increasingly seek out SOC 2 Type 2-aligned providers because it reduces both technical and commercial risk. In practical terms:

  • A large enterprise client reviewing multiple vendors can shortlist suppliers faster if SOC 2 Type 2 is already in place, avoiding lengthy bespoke audits.
  • Security and procurement teams can lean on the independent report rather than rebuilding assurance from scratch for every engagement.
  • Businesses operating in regulated or data-sensitive sectors can demonstrate compliance alignment more easily when working with partners that already meet recognised standards.
  • Product and technology teams can scale client onboarding without compromising security, because controls have been tested over time, not just implemented once.

Internally, 55/Redefined aligns this with a broader commitment to enterprise-grade security and strong operational controls as it continues to support global clients and partners. The report is available to prospective clients by requesting access to 55/Redefined’s Trust Center .

Footnote:

The SOC 2 Type 2 examination, formally known as a Report on Controls at a Service Organization Relevant to Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, or Privacy. The examination was performed by an independent CPA firm, AssurancePoint, LLC, and is an independent examination, not an audit, certification or accreditation. 55/Redefined describes this outcome in line with approved communications guidance.
