The Age Intelligence Gap Webinar

Your mid-career people are already planning the next stage of their working lives. Do you know what they've decided? Without that insight, retention, succession and workforce planning rest on assumptions. The Age Intelligence Gap is what that costs: experienced talent, critical knowledge and productivity, lost as demographic change accelerates.

Join Lyndsey Simpson, author of The Age Rebellion, and a panel of clients on Wednesday 18th November at 2.30pm GMT to explore how to close it. #AgePioneersWeek

What is Age Pioneers Week?

Age Pioneers Week (APW) is a global campaign celebrating the power and potential of professionals aged 50+. Running from 16-20th November 2026, APW engages forward-thinking employers, HR professionals and Talent Attraction leaders who recognise that 50+ workers are not just experienced, but essential.

The week focuses on digital activities, including videos, new research reports and social media takeovers where individuals and organisations can take part, comment and share their stories across our social channels.

Join the movement that’s redefining ageing in the workplace and proving that an age-inclusive workplace is a strategic advantage.

What to Expect During Age Pioneers Week 2026

During Age Pioneers Week 2026, you’ll gain insights into exclusive research, social media spotlights and real-world stories of age-inclusive best practices. You’ll find examples across all industries that are designed to inspire, educate and activate workplace change.

Building on the success of Age Pioneers Week 2025, this year’s global edition will expand its reach and impact. Whether you're a sponsor or participant, you’ll gain access to actionable insights, high-visibility opportunities, and a network of age-positive leaders.

How did National Older Workers Week evolve into APW?

National Older Workers Week (NOWW) was a UK initiative championing the value of older workers and age-inclusive employment. In 2024, 55/Redefined acquired the assets of WM People, the powerhouse behind NOWW. From 2025, we’ve rebranded and expanded the campaign into  Age Pioneers Week.

This evolution reflects the growing global need for over-50s in the workforce as a strategic asset. While the name has changed, the mission remains: to spotlight age-positive employers and drive meaningful change in how older workers are hired, retained and celebrated worldwide.

What is an Age Pioneer?

An Age Pioneer is someone who challenges outdated perceptions of ageing in the workplace. Whether you are a professional aged 50+ redefining your career path, an employer championing age-inclusive practices, or a younger professional who wants to future-proof your career, anyone can be an age pioneer.

Unlike the term “older worker,” Age Pioneer reflects ambition and leadership. It’s about recognising experience as a competitive advantage, not a limitation. International Age Pioneers Week brings together these trailblazers to share insights, celebrate achievements, and shape the future of work. If you’re driving change, breaking bias, or building multigenerational teams, you’re an Age Pioneer.
